The governor of , (Republicans), and the mayor of the capital, (), confirmed their presence at an event to mark the International Day in Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust, next Sunday (26).
The date will also mark 80 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.
The event, which will take place at the Etz Chaim Synagogue, is organized by the Confederação Israelita do Brasil (Conib), the Israeli Federation of the State of São Paulo (Fisesp), Congregação Israelita Paulista (CIP) and StandWithUs Brasil.
Tarcísio and Nunes also attended the event last year. They tend to have positions aligned with and with the Jewish community in the country, as is common in the center-right.
