Cruz Azul tells the coach that he never authorized him to travel. In fact, the club didn’t even know about this trip. Villas-Boas understands the “interests” of Mexicans.

André Villas-Boas confirmed last night that the FC Porto is to try hire Martin Anselmi, Cruz Azul coach.

While talking about a “complicated moment, difficult to understand” and saying that “not even in the worst scenarios” he would imagine a phase of four consecutive defeats (this time against Olympiacos), the president of FC Porto commented that the Mexican club is making it difficult to leave because of the termination clause.

“We understand that the Cruz Azul wants to defend its interests and in this way we continue talking to the club to end these negotiations”, said Villas-Boas.

Early in the morning, Anselmi was caught in the airport and it was already on the way to Porto: “FC Porto informed me that there is an agreement and that some details remain to be resolved, nothing more”, said the coach as he went to the departure zone.

However, Cruz Azul shortly afterwards sent an email notification, which has since been made public, in which it informs the coach that never authorized him to travel. In fact, the club didn’t even know about this trip.

The contract with the Mexicans remains in force and, therefore, the club asks the coach to “immediately reinstate” the work.

Cruz Azul regrets this behavior and remembers that it never failed the coach.

Information circulating in Mexico indicates that the rest of the coaching staff accepted the order and returned to the club.

Martín Anselmi remained at the airportwaiting for authorization to travel.
