End of C8 and NRJ12: a new channel will be born and Christophe Dechavanne could be its star!

Last summer, Arcom made the decision to. The chains will cease to be active as of February 28, 2025. To replace them, two new channels will be born. Among them, the OFTV (Ouest-France TV), which will be available on channel 19 from September 1, 2025.

For several months, everyone has been busy preparing for the arrival of the regional channel on our airwaves and according to information from Parisian, a daily talk show is particularly in the nails. A call for tenders was even launched last November to carry out this “decentralized format” et “representative of the diversity of the French population“. By targeting 25-49 year olds, the show will be, in a way, the ambassador of OFTV.

All of Paris is jostling in Brittany

And it is an understatement to say that all of Paris hastened to respond to this call for tenders. “There is not a production company that has not responded“, a source told Parisian. Out of around fifty applications, only ten were selected to present a project to the group’s leaders from the Ouest-France headquarters in Rennes, including François-Xavier Lefranc, chairman of the board of directors of the Ouest-France group and Guénaëlle Troly, director from OFTV.

Effervescence Productions by Simone Harari Baulieu (Everyone wants to take their place et Slam), 2P2L (Kindergartens), Winter Prod by Hugo Clément and Régis Lamanna-Rodat (What an era!), Third Eye by Justine Planchon (C to you), Together Media by Renaud Le Van Kim (C tonight, C politics) et france.tv studio were notably retained for the rest of the hearings.

These companies must propose convincing ideas and above all, deal with a (low) budget of 50,000 euros per day. Which would still make it possible to achieve a quality daily pre-evening. And to embody the talk show, the names of hosts have already been mentioned. Always according to The Parisianthat of would have been blown by Simone Harari Baulieu. Sidonie Bonnecet Paul Larrouturou would have been defended by other boxes. “On this subject, in the end, it is the channel that will choose. They were given as an indication“, nevertheless specifies a selected producer.

Names already ruled out

On the other hand, others are already out of the game, such as Eric Brunet et Wendy Bouchard. In fact, the projects with which they were associated were refused from the first stage.
