Washington – New US President Donald Trump’s abolition of citizenship by birth has encountered initial resistance in the courts. A federal judge in the west coast state of Washington blocked the president’s corresponding decree on Thursday because it was “blatantly unconstitutional.” The judge was referring to the fact that the right to citizenship at birth on US territory is enshrined in an amendment to the Constitution.
