The profile on X (formerly Twitter) of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was invaded and stolen on the night of Thursday, 23rd, according to Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), Rio councilor and son of the former president.
According to Carlos, procedures have already begun to recover the account.
The attacker published some posts on the former president’s profile. In one of them, he announced the launch of a cryptocurrency called $BRAZIL, falsely associated with the politician.
“The time has come to celebrate our country like never before. I am launching $BRAZIL, the currency that represents the pride, freedom and strength of the Brazilian people”, wrote the virtual criminal.

The post, accompanied by a photo of Bolsonaro next to United States President Donald Trump, spent 40 minutes online before being deleted.

The token was created on Pump.fun, a platform based on the Solana (SOL) blockchain that gives users the ability to create cryptocurrencies in a few minutes.
According to data from the platform, the digital asset moved US$186,000 in the last 11 hours.
