Alexander Pröll is an unusual ÖVP general secretary-and also not a Pröll, as you know it. General secretaries of the ÖVP are often referred to as snappy “chain dogs” of the party. Pröll, on the other hand, defines himself as “empathetic” that he is a “limitless optimist”. His father Josef Pröll and his great -uncle Erwin Pröll were considered to be self -confident for power politicians. Alexander Pröll apparently puts on his job differently – at least at the moment. On January 5, he was appointed party manager. He wanted to set up the ÖVP “powerful and innovative”.
