After years away from the media, Maria Verônica resurfaced with a new purpose. In a video published on YouTube, she shared her testimony of faith and “reunion with God”.
She stated that she is trying to regain her true identity: “Many people know me as the pregnant woman, but now I want to be known as Maria Verônica”.
The controversy surrounding Maria Verônica began in 2012, when she claimed to be pregnant with quadruplets. However, she was unmasked after discovering that her belly was, in fact, a silicone prosthesis.
At the time, she received a lot of media coverage and even participated in TV shows. In a recent video, she explained that the episode occurred during a period when she was away from the church and far from God. “I come with this channel to regain my identity. I chose to leave God and live a life in the world”, he said.
