SOUTH South Korean military personnel said North Korea are preparing to send more troops to Russia to combat the Ukrainian forces, even after suffering losses and seeing some of their soldiers captured .
“As four months have passed from the sending of troops to the Russian War, and there have been several casualties and catches, it is suspected that North Korea is accelerating the accompaniment measures and the preparation for an additional shipping of troops,” Said the South Korea Joint Staff (JCS) in a statement.
JCS analysis did not specify which other pyongyang follow -up measures could take.
North Korea is also preparing to launch a spy satellite and an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), although there are no signs of immediate action, JCS said.
This month, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said two North Korean soldiers were captured in the Russian region of Kursk, marking the first time Ukraine has captured North Korean soldiers since its entry into the past autumn war.
Pyongyang sent about 11,000 soldiers to support Moscow forces in the Kursk region in western Russia, according to Ukrainian and Western reviews, which Ukraine took a surprise attack last year.
More than 3,000 were killed or injured, according to Kiev.

Although Moscow and Pyongyang initially rejected reports on sending northern troops, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not denied that North Korean soldiers were in Russia and a North Korean authority said any shipping would be legal .
The increase in cooperation occurs after Putin’s visit to Pyongyang in June 2024, when leaders signed a “comprehensive strategic partnership”, which includes a mutual defense pact.
