Your schedule is not going according to plan today, but the family is hungry and wants to eat immediately. Then the following recipe is just for you, which is simple, quick and incredibly tasty. You only need to have a few basic ingredients at home, and within a quarter of an hour you have a great dinner on the table.
Tomatoes are not only tasty, but also full of vitamins. In addition to vitamin C, which supports immunity, they also contain lycopene – an antioxidant that helps protect the heart and blood vessels. This makes them an ideal part of any dish. In this case, we will use them for pasta. Of course, fresh, fragrant tomatoes from the garden are ideal, but in winter, even canned ones will do.
“Thanks to their low energy value and minimum sugar, tomatoes are a great companion even if you are on a diet. And from the point of view of their composition, we must not forget to mention the presence of vitamins B, C, E and K and minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and calcium,” reveals Alice Kouřilová, head of the office of the Vegetable Union of Bohemia and Moravia.

Garlic and olive oil must not be missing
Garlic not only has an excellent taste, but also has positive effects on health, for example, it strengthens immunity. And together with olive oil, they form the basis that gives the whole dish a unique taste. In addition, olive oil provides healthy fats that are good for your heart.
The basis is well-cooked pasta
Prepare the pasta in the classic way according to the instructions on the package. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a pan, add the sliced garlic and let it fry for a while until it starts to smell nice. Then add the chopped tomatoes, salt and pepper and let them simmer for a while. You can also add a pinch of sugar to offset any acidity from the tomatoes. Finally, mix with the cooked pasta and you’re done.
Quick, but still healthy
Pasta with tomatoes is not only tasty, but also beneficial for your digestion. In addition, tomatoes are rich in water, which makes them a light food that does not burden your stomach. And since they are also low-calorie, it is a dish that you can enjoy even if you are trying to lose weight or eat healthier.
Tips for improvement
If you find this recipe too lean and want to take it to the next level, add fresh herbs like basil, oregano or thyme. This will give your food a pleasantly fresh touch. Lovers of hot food can add a bit of chilli to give the dish a whole new dimension. Parmesan, on the other hand, is ideal for those who prefer a stronger taste.
