The Biden administration’s “deletion” was first noticed by BlueSky users, many of whom believed it was the latest attempt by major tech companies to reach out to Trump.
It’s worth noting that in the days leading up to this search error, millions of Meta users began complaining that their accounts were forced to follow President Donald Trump and Vice President Jay D. Vance and were banned from unfollowing.
However, Meta communications director Andy Stone said in a post that: “People did not automatically become followers of any of the official Facebook or Instagram accounts for the President, Vice President or First Lady. The White House manages these accounts, so with a new administration, the content on these pages changes. It may take some time for follow and unfollow requests to go through as these accounts change hands.”
