Sansevieria is an exotic plant from the Asparagaceae family. It naturally occurs in tropical regions of Africa, Asia and Madagascar. In Poland, it is cultivated as a popular potted flower.
Sansevieria on the windowsill, chest of drawers or table looks interesting, and caring for it is not complicated. In addition, it is one of the few air-purifying houseplants recommended by NASA experts.
Wondering what Sansevieria has? Well, it converts carbon dioxide into oxygen, purifies and humidifies the air. It also neutralizes various toxic substances that are harmful to health.
This includes: formaldehyde, which negatively affects well-being (contributes to insomnia, headaches, decreased immunity) or benzene (low mood). So this is one of the best plants for the bedroom. Especially for people with allergies.

Growing sansevieria is not complicated. It is an undemanding species that feels good in both sunny and slightly shaded places, although it prefers the former.
If you forget to water your flower for some time, most likely nothing will happen to it. It is worth giving snake plants a moderate amount of water once every 3-4 weeks, depending on the location. It will withstand temporary drying even better than overwatering, which may pose a threat to it due to the risk of root rot.
