This is the best orchid for beginners. It is easy to grow and is covered with a sea of flowers

Dendrobium nobile is a little-known plant from the orchid familynaturally growing in the mountainous areas of South Asia. This is an extremely resistant species that is usually found on forest tree trunks, shrubs and rocks.

In the Polish temperate climate, it can be successfully grown as a potted plant. This charming epiphyte is not as popular as its relatives which can be purchased at any supermarket. However, Dendrobium nobile is easier to grow and blooms profusely.

Dendrobium nobile (also known as the noble orchid) is a species of orchid that can be found on a walk in the forest when traveling to India, China, Thailand or Vietnam.

In Europe it is usually grown as an ornamental potted plant with wonderfully scented, multi-colored flowers appearing along the entire length of long vertical or slightly flattened shoots. Dendrobium nobile also has thick, white roots and shiny oblong dark green leaves and keiki.

Growing dendrobium nobile is not complicated. This exotic plant will certainly do well in home conditions and will bloom again if you provide it with a transparent pot with a stand (where excess water will be drained) and ensure a rest period in the colder months.

How else to care for dendrobium? Also consider putting in poles to support the orchid. In late autumn and winter, provide it with a cool, dry and bright room, e.g. a windowsill, under which there is no heater. In winter, the ideal temperature for it should be around 14-18 degrees Celsius.

During this time, do not fertilize the plant (with multi-ingredient products recommended during the growing season) or water too abundantly. In mid-February, you can start waking up this orchid by increasing the frequency of both treatments and moving it to a warmer room.

However, remember to provide it (preferably at room temperature). And don’t forget to replant dendrobium nobile once every 2-3 years.
