Atlasintel survey conducted on the 1st Government Week indicates strong polarization, with 49.7% disapproval
Atlasintel survey shows that US President Donald Trump (Republican) began his second term with 50.1% approval among US citizens. Disapproval adds 49.7%. Configures a technical draw within the error margin of 2 percentage points for more or less.
The data were collected online from January 21 to 23, 2025, in the 1st Week of Government. 1,882 people were interviewed in the US, with a 95%confidence interval. This is the research (PDF – 6 MB).
Trump took office on Monday (20.jan), but already on the first day in office signed 46 decrees including controversial themes such as the departure of the Paris and WHO agreement, forgiveness to those involved in the invasion of the capitol, the hardening to the rules of immigration and the end of the policy of “Gender Ideology”.
The sympathetic action to the electoral base reflects the demographic clippings of the research. Trump is better rated by men, 45 -year -olds or older, workers with income exceeding $ 50,000 per year and residents of rural areas. The highest percentage of support is among the black population (68.8%).
Among Republican voters, approval reaches 97.6%. Already among those who voted in Kamala Harris (Democrat) in 2024, the rate is 0% – the disapproval is 99.4%.
Asked about the president’s ability to deal with various topics, 51% of respondents classified how “excellent” The way Trump treats immigration guidelines. On the other hand, only 31% see him as trained to deal with public health.
