Next Sunday, the Algarve VW Classics – and not only – returns to Monchique, for another unforgettable meeting, the 8th VW Algarve Meeting, which will bring these iconic vehicles to the top of FOIA.
The event is dedicated to the air -cooled Volkswagen, which marked the first half of the twentieth century of the brand, ending its production in Europe in the 1980s. There will also be vehicles of the second generation VW, already water cooled until 1991.
Registration for cars are already closed, but the public will be able to visit the exhibition and enjoy the models on display, from the Algarve and other regions of the country. This is a meeting that promises to please classic car lovers and provide moments of conviviality and sharing among participants and visitors.
The event is open to the public and promises to be a memorable experience for the whole family, with the opportunity to admire and get to know these classic VW vehicles.
The organization is in charge of the support of Monchique City Council, ICNF and GNR.
Program
- 09:15 – Concentration of vehicles at A22 output to Monchique (GPS: 37º10’29N 8º31’54W)
- 09:30 – Walk with a pass through the village of Monchique to the Foia Miradouro
- 10:00-12:00 – Exhibition of classic vehicles at the Foia Miradouro
- 12:15 – Lunch for owners (FOIA)
- 16:00 – Forecast of vehicles and return with monchique passage
