The mayor of Belo Horizonte, Fuad Noman (PSD), has recovered from pneumonia, but remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mater Dei Hospital, in the capital of Minas Gerais.
The information is contained in a medical bulletin released this Saturday (25). Fuad has been admitted to the ICU since January 3 with respiratory problems.
The “complete resolution” of the pneumonia was diagnosed through a lung radiological examination carried out on Friday (24).
At the moment, Fuad is “showing gradual clinical improvement, following motor, respiratory and neurological rehabilitation programs”.

This is Fuad’s fourth hospitalization since his re-election in October last year. All were related to health problems resulting from chemotherapy treatment.
In June 2024, Fuad announced, before starting his re-election campaign, that he had lymphatic cancer and would undergo chemotherapy.
He continued the election campaign and, in October, announced that the cancer was in remission and that treatment had been completed.
