The federal government has identified five products that arouse more attention to: meat, coffee, sugar, soybean and orange oil.
At a meeting this Friday (24) of ministers with President Lula at Planalto Palace, there was a certain optimism with a number of factors that should bring prices down in the coming months, despite the worrying scenario.
Among them, the drop in the dollar in recent days, the absence of harder protectionist measures on the part of President Donald Trump (USA), the prospects for the highest agricultural credit and the good scenario for this year’s crop.
“We will call the main sectors of the field, industry and food trade to talk and listen to the demands. With this, we can make an X-ray. Everything will be done in order to support producers at this time,” said the Minister of Agrarian Development , Paulo Teixeira, who attended the meeting.
Another front will be in the change in, a task that will be up to the ministers Fernando Haddad (farm) and Luiz Marinho (work).
Despite being cited by Rui Costa (Civil House) as one of the main measures to force the drop in prices, it is seen as a punctual solution for extreme cases. There are few situations where there is insufficient production in the domestic market that justifies the attitude.
