The situation in the General Health Insurance Company (VšZP), which hit a cyber attack on Friday (24 1.), is now stabilized. Informed about it Minister of Health Kamil Šaško (Voice-SD).
“The fact that the cyber attack was carried out is whether someone likes it or not. We immediately intervened. Immediately we started to manage it from the first minute in cooperation with the institutions concerned, ” Said Šaško. According to him, VšZP has a strong system of protection that ensured this attack.
The Minister, together with the Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD), informed on Friday that another massive cyber attack is ongoing against Slovakia aimed at the State VšZP. The insurance company has declared that the policyholders’ data is safe after the attack, the leakage has not occurred and the provision of healthcare is not compromised.
