The Israeli army completes the preparations to receive the four hostages released
The Israeli army has completed the preparation of the facilities to receive the four hostages of Hamas in Gaza that will be released this Saturday, as part of the second exchange of captives in the strip for Palestinian prisoners since the beginning of the truce the week the week pass. Israeli media expect their release to occur throughout the morning.
“The labor management established and prepared initial reception points where returned hostages will receive medical attention and personal support. Subsequently, they will be transferred to hospitals and gathered with their families,” the Israeli army announced on social networks.
The military hopes to receive the young women at the reception point of the Reim military base, about 7 kilometers from the border with Gaza and where the first three hostages were released last Sunday. According to the authorities, depending on the development of the day, the four young women could be transferred to the reception point in Kerem Shalom, next to the southeast end of the Gazatí dividing.
For the exchange, Hamas will put the four welded women available to the Red Cross, which in turn will take them to the Israeli army to be a military convoy to definitely take them out of the strip and transfer them to the point of reception.
The soldier women who will be released are Liri Albag, 19 years old; Karina Ariev, 20; Daniella Gilboa, 20; and Naama Levy, 20. The fifth that remains in the enclave, Agam Berger, will not be released at the moment. All were together in the military base of Nahal Oz, just a kilometer from Gaza, when the Palestinian militiamen headed by Hamas attacked Israeli territory, killing almost 1,200 people and kidnaping another 251 on October 7, 2023.
As their relatives told Efe, the kidnapped had not notifying suspicious movements within the enclave for months, but their warnings were not treated.
Israel must publish in return a list with 200 Palestinian prisoners who will be released. As agreed, each welded woman will be exchanged for 50 prisoners. According to Palestinian prison associations, 120 will be people with life imprisonment sentences, while another 80 have high sentences. So far, Israel has not spread the list of prisoners.
When soldier women are released, they will be in Gaza 87 kidnapped on October 7 (together with three captives previously). From the list of 33 hostages that will leave the enclave during the first phase of the high the fire agreed by Israel and Hamas only two women will remain. (EFE)
