Amor cake for Valentine's Day. Every bite is a real pleasure

The Amor cake can be a great gift for the festival of lovers. Although you will certainly get delicious sweets in the local confectionery, the other half will certainly appreciate the homemade baking and the effort put into it. What’s more, the Amor cake is a combination of a delicious cocoa sponge cake with chocolate cream and strawberries. I don’t need to add that both fruit and cocoa are aphrodisiacs. Vitamins B included in strawberries quickly and effectively improve the mood. In turn, the presence of zinc will increase the level of desire in men. Cocoa, in turn, is a treasury of anandamide, i.e. a hormone that has a similar effect to human endorphins. It brings relaxation and feeling of happiness. All this will help in maintaining a romantic atmosphere on a home date.

Ingredients:

For sponge cake:

  • 6 eggs,
  • 180 g of wheat flour,
  • 150 g of white sugar,
  • 40 g kakao,
  • a teaspoon of baking powder,
  • A bit of salt
  • A bit of vanilla extract.

For chocolate cream:

  • 400 g of milk chocolate,
  • 200 g of sour cream 12%,
  • 400 g cream 30% or 36%.

Additionally:

  • jar of strawberry or raspberry jam,
  • Fresh or frozen strawberries.

Method of performance:

Prepare a chocolate sponge cake. Proteins separate from the yolks and beat them with a little salt. When they get thick and stiff, start adding white and vanilla sugar in batches. Whip until the foam is shiny and the sugar dissolves. Sift the flour with baking powder, add cocoa to it and mix. Mix the yolks briefly with vanilla extract. Mix them into the previously prepared protein foam. Finally, add dry ingredients with batches, mixing gently so as not to aerate the mass.

Pour the dough into the cake tin. A square form with a side of about 23 cm will be useful for this recipe. Heat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius, bake for about 40 minutes, to the so -called dry stick. Set aside to cool.

Now prepare chocolate cream. Divide the chocolate into pieces. Pour sour cream into a small saucepan, add chocolate to it. Heat and mix on low heat all the time until the ingredients combine. Set aside to cool. Beat the cream cream, pulling it straight from the fridge, it should be heavily chilled. When it is thick, add cooled chocolate in portions and mix until all the ingredients combine.

Fold the Amor cake. Cut the sponge cake in half with a sharp knife. Put the cream between two tops of dough. Decorate it on top with strawberry or raspberry jam and fruit.
