Lula government classified treatment given to Brazilians as “degrading”; Procedure is standard in the United States
Itamaraty said on Saturday (25.jan.2025) that the government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) will ask for explanations to the administration of President Donald Trump (Republican Party) on treatment “Degrading” given to Brazilians deported from the United States.
The group, which arrived in Brazil on Friday (24.jan), was transported handcuffed. Justice Minister Ricardo Lewandowski, that the handcuffs were removed when the plane landed in Brazilian territory.
