Leader of Hlasu-SD and Minister of the Interior Matúš Šutaj Eštok is ready to work on the stability of the coalition. He stated this in the Sunday discussion show STVR O 5 minut 12. He is also talking to non-affiliated member of parliament Rudolf Huliak about returning to the coalition.
He also believes that an organized, foreign-funded group is behind the cyber attacks. The head of the parliamentary club of the opposition PS Martin Dubéci claims that the coalition needs to cover up the problem with the disintegrating government by conspiring about the background of civil protests. The Minister also informed that on Monday (January 27) he will present who will lead the Police Force after the departure of Ľubomír Solák.
Šutaj Eštok claims that stability must be guaranteed in the coalition, which is why he is also talking to Huliak. “They also realize that they will have to make concessions and return to the coalition,” said Šutaj Eštok about the deputies around Huliak. “I’m ready for absolutely anything,” answered the question whether he is ready for the reconstruction of the government. At the same time, he stated that SNS, Smer-SD and Hlas-SD are agreed and ready to elect the vice-chairman of Hlas-SD Richard Raši as the chairman of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic, but he does not know whether he is supported by deputies Samuel Migaľ and Radomír Šalitroš, who were expelled from Hlas – SD.
According to Dubéci, we are in the regime of a minority government. He is convinced that the NR SR will not be able to meet in February. According to Šutaj Eštok, the February meeting will be about healthcare laws. Dubéci responded that there should have been a regular program on several laws at the February meeting, and at the same time, the chairman of the NR SR, a candidate for constitutional judge or members of the media councils, including the STVR Council, should have been elected. Dubéci wants early elections to be discussed at the meeting.
The chairman of the PS club declared that the government is flirting with foreign-political orientation, and he had to respond to this with a Hlas-SD press conference and also the president Peter Pellegrini with his statement. Šutaj Eštok repeated that Slovakia’s membership in the EU and NATO is enshrined in several documents.
The minister believes that school threats or cyber attacks are part of an organized effort. “There is an organized group behind this that is financed from foreign sources, connected directly to ‘possibly useful idiots’ who are within the political opposition and the non-governmental sector,” he added, adding that it is a network of people that is “absolutely clear provable”.
Dubéci responded that a desperate government takes desperate actions. “They need to set a new topic here, because their government is falling apart,” he said, adding that even the coalition MPs laughed at the secret message. He added that he does not trust the Slovak secret service.
Shut up Eštok denied that deputies Migaľ, Šalitroš and also Ján Ferenčák and Roman Malatinac would be part of the four (both Hlas-SD) deployed security forces, as stated in the statement. “We will guarantee stability within the coalition,” he added, adding that he does not consider Ferenčák and Malatinac to be blackmailers, that’s why they have an open door.
