Municipal council elections in Lower Austria: ÖVP loses, FPÖ gains

Already early on Sunday afternoon, the ÖVP Lower Austria was cautiously relieved: the blacks were spared a disastrous result in the local council elections. Hardly anyone in the state party denied in advance that the ÖVP would also have to suffer losses in this election. The great uncertainty was always how big the deficit would be in the communities.
