Before the match between Colo-Colo and Vitória, for the 4th round of the Bahian Championship, this Saturday (25), moments of violence were recorded in two locations in Salvador. On the outskirts of the Fonte Nova Arena, where the match took place, red-black fans denounced truculent action by the Military Police, using tear gas and rubber bullet fire, even with children on site.
Videos made by witnesses even circulated on social networks. By means of a note, sent to CNNThe PM said a group of fans totally blocked the stadium access road, preventing the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, including the passage of two ambulances that had to pass through the area.
“Given the situation, individuals were ordered to clear the roads for the return of urban mobility. However, there was disobedience to the police order, the fans hurled stones, cans and bottles against the actual police, endangering the physical integrity of agents and people on the scene. The military made the gradual use of force to contain and dissipate the group, ”added the statement stating that no one was detained in the action.
Already in another point of the Bahian capital, in the rail suburb, about 100 men from the organized of Vitória were caught causing fight and confusion in Periperi. The complaint was made by residents of the neighborhood.
In this case, the Military Police reported that the group consisting of 105 suspects, including 15 minors were arrested. With them were seized five beaches, six cans of spray paint, a knife, scissors, four cigarettes and a portion of marijuana and a crack stone.
All seized material and the suspects were referred to the specialized units of the Civil Police, where the occurrence was recorded.
On social networks, the Bahian team commented on repudiating any act of violence. “Esporte Clube Vitória vehemently repudiates the acts of violence against our fans that occurred this afternoon (25), during the arrival of our bus to Fonte Nova.”
Vitória also informed that the recorded images will be sent to the command of the Bahia State Military Police to find out “eventual excesses”.
