On Monday (27. 1.) it will be windy especially in the southwestern districts of Slovakia and in the mountains. This is pointed out by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) on its website, issued a first level warning. They will persist until the evening, in some locations other days.
Veterno will be in most of the territory of the Nitra and Trnava regions and also in the districts of Malacky, Myjava, Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Poprad and Tvrdošín. The wind can occasionally reach a speed of 65 to 70 kilometers per hour in gusts. The warning lasts from 08:00. to 18:00, in Orava and East from 09:00. Until Tuesday (28. 1.) 06:00 hod.
In the mountains, the wind can reach a speed of 70 to 85 kilometers per hour, which means a storm. The warning is valid from Monday 07:00. Until Wednesday (29. 1.) in areas above the forest zone in the districts of Brezno, Banská Bystrica, Poprad, Liptovský Mikuláš, Ružomberok, Martin, Žilina, Dolný Kubín, Tvrdošín and Námestovo.
