It was a clear message that the development organization Oxfam presented to the public a few days ago: The rich are getting richer while the number of hungry people is increasing. The message in many media outlets was less clear that the richest people are primarily men: Elon Musk, followed by Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Bernard Arnault and Larry Page. According to the Forbes billionaire list, the first woman only appears in 17th place – with the US entrepreneur Alice Walton, whose fortune is more than four times less than Musk’s. There are only six women among the 50 wealthiest people in the world.
