Forget about cracking icing. Now the donuts will look like a confectionery

Homemade icing for can significantly enrich the taste of our pastries. However, we must properly prepare it so that it is possible to evenly spread it on the donuts and not to crack and fall off. Fortunately, a simple recipe is enough to prepare delicious and shiny sugar.

Preparing the perfect icing for donuts, contrary to appearances, is not difficult at all. Just keep the right proportions and remember a few important steps, That he would come out tasty and have a good consistency. Do to prepare it, we will need the following :

  • 20 ml of lemon juice,
  • 250 g of powdered sugar,
  • 40 ml of cold water.

The first step is to sift powdered sugar through a small strainer to a small bowl. This should be done so that it is perfectly loose, so that icing for donuts will not have unappetic lumps. Then add freshly squeezed lemon juice into the powder and rub it with a teaspoon.

The next step is to add water and mix the whole until you get a fairly thick, but not too thick mass. It will be perfect when it is slowly and smoothly flowing from a teaspoon. In the event that our icing is too rare, we can gradually add sugar until we get the right consistency. However, if it came out too thick, we thin it with a little lemon juice.

So prepared icing can be enriched with, for example, a little fresh lemon zest or add some oils to cakes. Thanks to this, it will be even tastier and more aromatic.
