Senator made the statement when commenting on Brazilians’ negative perception of government communication, according to Genial/Quaest research
The senator (PL-RJ) said this Monday (January 27, 2025) that not even the president’s (PT) most loyal electorate wants to pay a lot to eat. The congressman made the statement on his account on X (formerly Twitter) when commenting on Quaest, which shows that 53% of Brazilians evaluate government communication negatively.
“It’s over for the Lula government, not even its most passionate base is willing to pay dearly for food, live with escalating interest rates and tolerate senseless spending”, wrote Flávio.
The senator added that his father, the former president (PL) – who is ineligible until 2030 – will return to the Presidency in 2026 to “regaining Brazil”.
POPULAR DISAPPROVAL
According to the Genial/Quaest survey released this Monday (Jan 27), it shows that 53% of Brazilians evaluate the Lula government’s communication negatively.
For those interviewed, one of the main topics that the government was unable to discuss was the supervision of financial transactions via Pix above R$5,000. The measure ended up being overturned after a negative evaluation of the measure.
Flávio said that the PT administration “communicates poorly because he only speaks lies. If you tell the truth, the government will fall.”
The research was commissioned by Genial Investimentos. 4,500 voters were interviewed across Brazil from January 23rd to 26th. The margin of error is 1 pp (percentage point), plus or minus. The confidence level is 95%. Here is it (PDF – 26 MB).
