The actor Selton Mello made his prediction for the 2025 Oscars and said he believed that the Brazilian film “I’m Still Here” must win at least one of the three categories to which it competes.
In an interview with Fantástico, on TV Globo, shown this Sunday (26), the actor said: “Of these three Oscars, I think we will win at least one. Which one, I don’t know.”
It was nominated for the 2025 Oscar in three categories: Best Film, Best International Film and Best Actress, with Fernanda Torres. By being nominated for the main award category (Best Film), the film has already made history, achieving this feat.
For Selton Mello, this is reason enough to celebrate. “It’s already Carnival, it’s already a celebration. It’s historic, we went down in history, forever. The whole world will watch this film”, said the actor.
A ceremony of the 97th Academy Awards is scheduled for March 2 in Los Angeles, in the United States. .
