Less than a month before the start of another season, the main Superbike World Championship teams return to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for the last joint test in preparation for the new year.
This Tuesday, January 28th, the stars of the championship will be on the track with their new bikes, including Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, who will defend his second world title – the first won with BMW.
This will be the time to observe the new features of the championship, such as the new colors of Bonovo, a team that entrusted a Ducati to Briton Scott Redding, and the debut of Bimota on the Algarve circuit, which will host the second stage of the championship at the end of March.
Among the innovations, Ducati is expected to present a new exhaust system on its official motorcycles, while Yamaha, Bimota and Honda – now equipped with Öhlins suspension – also promise surprises. At Kawasaki, the new addition is North American Gareth Gerloff, who continues to adapt to his new bike.
Furthermore, some World Supersport riders will be present at the tests, such as Phillip Oettl and Michael Ruben Rinaldi, the latter debuting the brand new Yamaha R9, while Oettl will use the 2024 world champion Ducati.
Fans will be able to watch the test live from the racecourse’s main stand, with tickets available for €5 per person. In addition, it will be possible to purchase tickets for the March race on the official website of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve: .
