The invasion of the crowded crowd into the Capitol, with the aim of overthrowing the American Republic and its “reflection” on January 6, 2021, has been registered on the darkest pages of American history.
US justice, however, condemned the invaders, and the planet was relieved that the justice system in operating. For six days, however, more than 1,500 of the convicted invaders have received a grace from President Trump – their bother was not turned around.
All of them have every reason to cheer on the president. All of them except one: Pamela Hemmm, because he said, he does not want to be written with those who try to rewrite American history. “On that day there was a rebellion,” he says without spin.
In this uprising, Hemmm participated, she recorded herself with her cellphone for her act, was tried, she said guilty and was sentenced to 60 -day prison sentence, which she served in 2022 in a federal prison in California. Since then, it has been free on restrictive terms.
These restrictions were due to be lifted in nine months but came with the grace of President Trump. But Haymfill denies her and asks to remain on restrictive terms, because she “wants to clear her name”.
It is extremely rare for the convicts not to accept the grace of the US President, Erika Zankel, a professor at the University of Chicago Law School, tells the Washington Post.
But how did hemmm come to invade Trump’s multitude in the Capitol? Hemm, 71, lives in Boiz, the capital of Aidaho, a city of 235,000 inhabitants. He has worked for 30 years as a consultant in alcoholic and drug addicts. He always voted Republicans. In 2008 he made an exception and voted for Democratic Barack Obama because he would write history as the first black president of the US.
Prior to the 2016 elections, when Trump was a candidate for the first time of the Republicans, he had been annoyed by revelations about the candidate’s sexist and offensive behavior against women. But her family persuaded her to vote for Trump because she was supposed to save America from communist danger. Hemmfil struck and voted for him.
In the years that followed, he admitted that he was not watching news but thanks to the internet, he came close to conspiracy groups. Trump seemed to her as the Messiah to save the world. This is how it became known as the nickname “Grandma Maga” (Make America Great Again).
But when she was convicted and found himself alone, in prison, she realized that she could not let others decide for herself, what is right and what is not. She was also aided by a psychotherapist who explained to her the harsh truth, telling her that she was not a victim of anyone, that she offered to follow the invaders in the Capitol.
Now that she denies the presidential grace, Haemfil wants to continue talking publicly about exactly what happened. “I’m guilty, I know I can’t go back in time and fix my error. But if listening to my story, even a man escapes from the Maga clique, it will be something. “
Thanks to the Washington Post and The New York Times newspapers, her story has become known and many Americans congratulate her on her attitude. He cannot do otherwise, he says, if he accepts Trump’s grace, it will be as if he does not respect the American Republic.
