Amid the growing tension by the war in Ukraine, the government of Czech Republic has approved a new concept to inform its citizens about how to prepare for a hypothetical war conflict In the country. “The most serious threat to the security of the Czech Republic is Russia, which has been making it clear that its ambitions of power do not end in Ukraine,”.
Thus, the initiative, which will be extended until 2023, arises as it responds to the need for Czechs to be prepared to defend themselves and the country: “The concept, following the defense strategy of the Czech Republic, reflects the need for a change in the general defense approachwhich requires participation of the entire State and society, since the provision of defense It is not an exclusive task of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces“.
“The new concept is based on the Government ambition to significantly expand the scope of citizens’ preparation for defense and contains a series of practical measures To achieve it, “says the Minister of Defense, Jana Černochová.

The four fundamental pillars of preparation
The preparation of citizens for national defense will now be based on four fundamental pillars: education, collaboration with non -governmental organizations, planning for the defense of the State and strategic communication:

In addition, this process will be supported with educational activities carried out by the Armed Forces in schools and with the training of teachers.
