Deputies of the presentation of a motion of repudiation in the House to the Government of, under the presidency of the treatment given, such as the use of handcuffs, during a deportation flight that arrived in Brazil on Friday (24).
The proposal was presented this Monday (27) by the federal deputies Ivan Valente (SP) and Talíria Petrone (RJ).
“It is inadmissible for Brazilian citizens to be subjected to degrading conditions, verbal and physical violence, use of handcuffs and chains, in the act of disrespect for the principles of human dignity,” the deputies say in the application.
. Videos of the moment show that many of them had handcuffs in their hands and feet, which would go against the agreed between Washington and Brasilia. But there are reports that part of the deported, which would make it impossible to comply with the agreement.
“We vehemently repudiate the inhuman and cruel treatment of Brazilian immigrants in the United States and demands from the US authorities the immediate termination of these abusive practices, as well as the full compliance with the human rights of all immigrants, regardless of their nationality,” the deputies add.
Ivan Valente and Talíria Petrone also mention that “the haughty stance of Brazilian immigrants demonstrates that our country is not willing to accept the disrespect to our sovereignty.”
O. The commitment between the two countries is that the containment is removed after landing on Brazilian soil.
