Maritime Police Seize another 238 kg of hashish on the coast Algarvia

The local commands of the Faro and Portimão Maritime Police seized, on January 26 and 27, 238 kg of hashish and 20 fuel jerricans during surveillance and patrolling actions off the Algarvia.

In the context of these coordinated operations, Elements of the local Maritime Police Command of Portimão found 145.5 pounds of hashish and 20 fuel jerricans on the beaches of their jurisdiction area.

However, after a popular alert about the presence of a burden on Vale do Lobo beach, agents moved to the scene and identified a second burden, totaling 92.64 pounds of seized hashish.

The total of seized narcotics, 238 kilos of hashish, was handed over to the Judicial Police for investigation.

The local commands of the Maritime Police of Faro and Portimão took responsibility for the procedures related to the occurrences.
