Mexico has welcomed non-Mexican departed since last week, the country’s president Claudia Seinbaum said today, overturning her previous opposition to do so.
Seinbaum said Mexico had welcomed more than 4,000 departed, of which “the vast majority” were Mexican nationals.
The US president assumed duties last week, promising mass expulsions of immigrants illegally in the US.
But since then, no “significant” increase in the number of departed Mexico has yet to be recorded, Seinbaum said.
