OpenAi launched this Thursday (28.jan.2025) Chatgpt Gov, a version of chatgpt developed for US government agencies. The company released the news in an official statement.
The system will be implemented in the Microsoft Azure cloud, with features similar to Chatgpt Enterprise, including creating custom GPTs for specific agencies needs.
The announcement takes place amid the rise of Chinese startup, which exceeded the chatgpt in download number at Apple’s application store. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAi, recognized DeepSeek as a competitor in publication on the social network X.
Microsoft (MSFT) is OpenAi’s main investor and provides the cloud infrastructure for the company’s services. The partnership between the companies began in January 2023, with a contribution of $ 10 billion.
More than 90,000 US federal, state and local officials have used chatgPT since the early 2024, generating 18 million prompts. The tool assists in translations, document summaries and memory writing.
