It seized it on Monday (27) a firearm registered in the name of the former deputy, arrested for the crime of threat to the Democratic Rule of Law.
The seizure occurred by decision of the minister, (Supreme Federal Court). Earlier this month, the army informed the Supreme that Silveira had a record of a .380 caliber pistol issued by the Rio de Janeiro Military Police.
Silveira worked in the corporation until 2019, when he was elected federal deputy.
The defense of the former parliamentarian confirmed, in the file, that Daniel Silveira had the gun at home. “The possession and possession inherent to Daniel Lúcio da Silveira are properly legal, as proved to be the certificate of firearm registration issued by the Rio de Janeiro State Military Police,” the defense said.
Daniel Silveira even left the arrest on December 20, after serving a third of the sentence of 8 years and 9 months in prison without registration of serious absences. He was arrested again four days later for, according to Moraes, breaking precautionary measures when leaving home at dawn – permission – to go to the hospital.
The electronic anklet location data showed that Silveira went through nine different points of the city of Petrópolis (RJ) the night he went to the hospital. Among the places is a mall where it remained for more than an hour. He was forbidden to leave home from 10 pm to 6am and also on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
