Plane catches fire with 176 on board in South Korea

A Company plane He caught fire at Gimhae International Airport in Busan (South Korea), on the night of this 3rd (28.Jan.2025). The incident with the Airbus A321-200 model was shortly before the take-off of a flight to Hong Kong.

According to the Korean news agency Yonhapall 176 people on board —169 passengers, 6 crew and 1 maintenance worker – were safely evacuated by an inflatable ramp. During the process, 4 suffered minor injuries, two of which had to be referred to a local hospital.

There is still no information about the causes of the fire. Local authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.

The fire began at the rear end of the plane around 10:26 pm (10:26 am Brasília) and spread to the fuselage. The emergency teams arrived at 10:34 pm and managed to extinguish the fire at 11:31 pm.
