The Tavira Body 100 Group of the National Listening Corps will organize the second edition of “Sopas in the Market”, on February 8, at the Ribeira Market, in Tavira.
After the success of the first edition, held in 2024, the event returns as the largest soup festival in the city.
This event is part of the group’s funds raising campaigns and will be accompanied by musical animation by the Folkloric Rancho of Tavira and the +2 Group. Starting at 5:00 pm and free tickets, it promises to be a late afternoon full of animation.
Sopas in the 2025 market will be attended by 20 local restaurants, which will provide several soups for tasting, as well as other dining options in the room. Visitors will be able to explore a wide variety of flavors, celebrating the region’s culinary diversity.
The National Listening Corps – Portuguese Catholic Scouting (CNE), founded in 1923, is a non -profit association with over 70,000 members in Portugal and over 40 million worldwide. The organization aims to the integral education of children and youth, based on adult volunteering, being recognized as a public utility entity by the Portuguese Government.
In Tavira, it has over 60 years of history and an active role in the community.
