On Friday, January 24, in almost 30 cities in Slovakia and abroad, the protests Slovakia are Europe. According to the organizers of the protests, people gathered together to express their disagreement with the current direction of the country and demonstrate the support of democratic values and the European future of Slovakia.
“The events symbolized the unity and determination of people to defend democracy. Tens of thousands of people all over Slovakia chanted today – Slovakia is Europe,” It was stated by the Civic Association Mier Ukraine, saying that the Slovak society refuses to isolation and direction towards the authoritarian regime.
