US President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday (27) Microsoft is in negotiations to acquire the Tiktok And that he would like to see a bid war by the application.
Microsoft refused to comment. Tiktok and Bytedance did not immediately respond to Reuters commentary outside business hours.
Tiktok, which has about 170 million US users, was briefly withdrawn shorts shortly before entering into force on 19 January, a law that required its Chinese owner, bytedance, to sell it for security reasons reasons reasons national or face a ban.
