Motta was born in João Pessoa, on September 11, 1989. Who is David Alcolumbre (Union-AP)

Of Jewish origin, David Samuel Alcolumbre Tobelem was born on June 19, 1977 in Macapá.

He began, but did not complete the Economic Sciences course at the Amapá Higher Education Center (CEAP), and even served as a merchant.

He assumed his first political position in 2001 as councilor of the capital of Amapaense, at 24. At the time, it was affiliated with the PDT.

In 2002, he was elected federal deputy, remaining in the house for three consecutive terms. In 2006, he migrated to the PFL, which later was renamed Democrats and today is União Brasil.

Within his term as a deputy, he licensed in 2009 to take over the Macapá Secretariat of Works and Public Services. Stayed in office until 2010.

In 2014, he was elected to the Senate for the first time with 131,000 votes. Four years later, he tried to be governor of Amapá, but ended the first round in third position, with 23.75% of the valid votes.

In October 2019, Alcohumbre even assumed the presidency of the Republic interim.

At the time, then-President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his deputy, Hamilton Mourão (Republicans), were out of the country, as was the then mayor Rodrigo Maia (PSDB-RJ).
