Burrata is a cheese that has recently become extremely popular. Find out what distinguishes her from other products and why it is worth giving her a chance.

The first mention of Burrata appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. At her moment, however, she had to wait until the 1950swhen it was given a name that still works today. Burrata quickly gained popularity and It is currently produced not only in the south of Włoch. Today, cheese produced in Bari and around England is considered the best in taste.

Burrata consists of two layers. The first is a pouch made of mozzarella cheese, which gives the cheese its shape. However, the second layer is rich interior of the cheese – It is filled with delicate shreds of cheese and thick cream. Thanks to this, it has a delicate velvet consistency and a butter, a bit sweet taste.

However, we must remember that burrata is a fairly caloric cheese. In 100 g we will find approx. 250-300 kcal, depending on the fat content. It contains a lot of sodium and cholesterol, which should be careful of people suffering from heart and circulatory system diseases. Its advantage is the high calcium content, which is the key to the health of the teeth and bones. For this reason, it is worth including Burrata in your diet, but from time to time.
