The plants that we grow in our garden should most often be cared for all year round, also in winter. This is also the case with fruit and vine. After all, probably every viticulture owner wants her to give him abundant crops. Here, in addition to fertilization or watering, you must not forget about one treatment, which is extremely important in winter, and has a huge impact on the size of the crops in autumn. It is about which should be done at the beginning of February. Of course, there are several ways to cut viticultures.

How to cut vines in winter? Thanks to this, you will double the yields

We cut the young vine, i.e. in the first and second year after planting so that it has 2 strong shoots. All the remaining, weaker – are removed. Here you should remember to shorten strong shoots over 2 or 3. In the following years, we make radical cuts of viticulture branches, because this will positively affect its fruiting in autumn. The branch is shortened below at a height of 2. Meshes, and the one that grows higher – leaving from 5 to 9 buds. We remove all weaker shoots. It is also important that the viney shoots always cut at an angle, keeping 1.5-2 cm from the bud. To make a winter vine cutting, choose a cheerful day when the temperature is in the plus.

Viticulture fertilization. When to do this?

Fertilization of the vine is another important procedure. It is thanks to beautifully fruit, but it is also resistant to any pests and diseases. It should be done three times a season: the first at the turn of March and April, the second at the turn of May and June, and the last after forming fruit, i.e. when the fruit is about peas, i.e. in August or September. Of course, the vine can nourish more often, especially if it grows in poor soil.
