The Spanish National Police rescued a man kidnapped in Malaga, less than 16 hours after the complaint was made, thanks to a photograph sent by the victim to his girlfriend.
The abduction took place in Sabinillas, in the municipality of Manilva, and, according to the authorities, was motivated by an account adjustment related to a alleged theft of 30,000 euros in a drug transaction. During the captivity, the victim was threatened with a gun and interrogated on the whereabouts of the suspect of fraud.
Despite the situation, the man managed to contact his girlfriend and a friend, sending them a photograph of the wheel where he was and geographical coordinates that indicated a street from Torre del Mar. With this information, the agents located the vehicle and kept surveillance until they saw the victim to be transferred to another car. The operation culminated in the interception of the suspects on the A7 Self -Estrada, towards Malaga.
In total, four people were detained for kidnapping, and connection to criminal organization and illegal possession of weapons.
