North Korean leader Kim Jong Un asked to reinforce the nuclear forces this year during a visit to the nuclear material production base and the country’s Nuclear Weapons Institute, state KCNA media said on Wednesday (local time).
Kim praised scientists and other local workers for achieving “remarkable successes” and “surprising production results” in their work last year, while informed about the process of producing nuclear weapons and their plan for 2025 and beyond , said the KCNA.
Kim asked for more success this year and in strengthening the country’s nuclear forces.
“This year is a crucial year, as it is a watershed in which we must perform the tasks in the important period, in the course of implementing the reinforcement line of nuclear forces,” Kim said, according to KCNA.
