To opera “Win the day” It takes the stage of the Theater of Figures in Faro, on February 21, at 21:30, bringing a spectacle loaded with emotion and meaning.
After the success in the municipalities of Loulé, Lagoa and Lagos, “Win the day” It arrives in Faro with the objective of conquering the hearts of the Farenses. Under the motto “Love is more invisible than hatred. That’s why it’s so important. Good things are more invisible, harder to see, ”the work promises to be a unique experience of sharing and connection between interpreters and public.
This opera stands out for being a participatory art project, uniting professionals and non-professional in a collaborative work. The initiative is born from the extensive path of the Theater of the attic, an inclusive group of Asmal, directed by Nídia Gonçalves.
On stage will be five lyrical singers accompanied by the Barroca D’Alimo Sea orchestra, in a special formation that includes stringing, carnation, percussion, and an electronics work that adapts to the spectacle’s sound and body needs.
The artistic direction is in charge of Elsa Mathei and Nidia Gonçalves, with Libretto, music and dramaturgy of Teresa Gentil, musical direction by Jorge Macedo and choreography and staging by Aldara Bizarro. The dramaturgy results from immersive work with the Asmal group, under the guidance of Luís Correia Carmelo, and also has the vocal and musical preparation of baritone Francisco Brazão.
Tickets for the show will be available briefly at the theater box office, on the BOL platform and at adherent stations like FNAC, Worten and CTT.
It is a co-production of Artis XXI, ASMAL, repeated question and municipality of Faro, with the support of the Directorate-General of Arts, the Theater of Figures and the Portuguese Theaters and Cineteatro Network.
