Vienna-The end of Sisi is closer: The German Netflix series “The Empress” about Elisabeth of Austria (1837-1898) receives a third and last season, as the streaming service announced on Monday. If the rhythm had remained so far, the third season would probably be seen in 2026. Devrim Lingnau as an empress and Philip Froissant as Emperor Franz Joseph can still be seen in the main roles of the historical drama with the international title “The Empress”.
