Donald Trump government has offered a voluntary dismissal plan to more than 2 million Federal Administration officials. Those who accept the proposal will have payment guaranteed for eight months, according to an email sent by the White House Personnel Management office on Wednesday, 29.
The offer contemplates most of the 2.3 million federal government servants. According to the White House Memorandum, workers who accept the resignation will have their duties eliminated or relocated immediately and will be on paid administrative license by the end of September, the last month of the American fiscal year.
The servers have until next Thursday, February 6, to join voluntary dismissal, the most radical measure of the new administration to reduce personnel spending. The offer comes at the time the government officials received orders to resume face -to -face work and face resignation threats.
“At the moment, we cannot guarantee with total guarantee the security of your position or your body, but if your position is eliminated you will be treated with dignity and will be entitled to existing protections for these situations,” said the email, titled “Crossroads”.

Republicans defend cuts as necessary, while democrats criticize them as a threat to democracy. Democratic party legislators and unions advised government officials not to adhere to voluntary dismissal.

“Expuring the federal government of dedicated employees will have immense and unintentional consequences, causing chaos for Americans who depend on a government working,” said Everett Kelley, president of the American Government employees, the largest federal servers union.
“Between the flood of executive and political orders against workers, it is clear that the goal of the Trump administration is to transform the federal government into a toxic environment, where workers cannot remain even if they want.”
Experts warn that dismissal offering can lead to a wave of pensions, discouraging newly graduates to join government and flood the private and non-profit sectors with employment candidates.
