Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been in space since June 2024 after the ship has technical problems

United States President Donald Trump (Republican Party) has asked businessman Elon Musk to anticipate the return of the 2 astronauts in space since June 2024. The trip, scheduled to last one week, was due to technical problems with the spacecraft .

On the social network Truth Social, Trump criticized former President Joe Biden (Democratic Party) and said astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were “Virtually abandoned” by the predecessor.

“I just asked Elon Musk and @spacex to ‘get’ the two brave astronauts who were virtually abandoned in space by the Biden administration”wrote Trump.

Wilmore and Williams traveled to space on the ship. Due to technical problems, NASA (National Administration of Aeronautics and Space, in Portuguese) has defined that it would be safer for astronauts to return to Earth in another vehicle, on the Crew-9 mission, from Spacex (Musk company). The return was scheduled for February this year, but had to be postponed in at least 1 month.

In response to Trump, Musk stated that he would meet the request and perform the return of the crew members “As soon as possible”.
