Vienna – Austria’s economic output has dropped by 0.2 percent at the end of 2023, according to the rapid estimate of the Economic Research Institute (WIFO) compared to the final quarter of 2023. If the numbers are confirmed, this would be the seventh decline in a row. Compared to the previous quarter, the gross domestic product (GDP) stagnated after two declines in the quarters before. Industry and construction industry continued to develop weakly, according to the WIFO. It is better in the service sector.
